At Don't Panic, we recognize that life-saving skills shouldn't be locked behind a high price point or a full day of testing. Whether you are a business needing to meet strict federal guidelines, or a group of neighbors wanting the peace of mind to handle an emergency, we have a custom hands-on program for you.
We partner with local businesses, organizations, and clubs to host on-site, practical training directly in the Black Hills.
Choose the pathway that best fits your crew:
Pathway 1: The "Don't Panic" Community Workshop (Non-Cert)
Perfect for families, outdoor clubs, scout troops, and budget-conscious groups who want the skills without the administrative overhead.
Focus: Adult/child CPR, choking relief, and bleeding control.
Time: 2 Hours
Cost: $30 per person
The Vibe: Fully hands-on, zero slides, zero testing stress. (Note: This pathway does not satisfy OSHA or state licensing mandates).
Pathway 2: Professional Workplace Certification (Red Cross / HSI)
Required for daycares, healthcare providers, construction crews, and organizations that must satisfy local, state, or federal workplace safety regulations.
Focus: Full OSHA-compliant Adult/Pediatric CPR, AED operation, and First Aid certification.
Time: 3 to 4 Hours
Cost: $50 per person (includes digital certification card)
The Vibe: Nationally-recognized, professional training. Passing students receive a legally recognized 2-year certification.
While our advanced Desert Mountain Medicine (DMM) wilderness courses are designed for off-grid response, these foundational community courses ensure you and your team can respond with confidence the moment an emergency happens close to home.

Our courses are led by Sam Smolnisky and Cody Cobb, both Paramedics, who bring real-world experience applying CPR in emergency scenarios.
As certified instructors through the American Red Cross and the Health & Safety Institute (HSI), Sam and Cody bring real-world rescue experience into the classroom. Their backgrounds in emergency medicine and technical rescue ensure that your training isn't just about "checking a box"—it's about learning life-saving skills from professionals who use them every day in the field.
