Our skills refreshers are designed exclusively for students who have taken a wilderness medicine course from Don't Panic LLC.
These sessions are the perfect way to keep your skills sharp in a fun, low-pressure environment. Each two-hour session focuses on a specific topic, followed by a social hour with food and a campfire. It's an excellent opportunity to reconnect with fellow students and maintain the confidence you gained in your course.

Ready to sharpen your skills? Our skills refreshers are perfect for anyone who has taken a course in the past and wants to stay proficient in a fun, low-pressure environment.
Each two-hour session focuses on a specific topic, followed by a social hour with food and a campfire. It's the perfect way to connect with fellow wilderness medicine enthusiasts and build your confidence.

Each skills refresher is $20 per person.
Time: The training runs from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a social hour from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Food: Provided by Don’t Panic!

All sessions include a review of basic skills, including scene size-up and patient assessment.

Who are these refreshers for? These sessions are designed for anyone who has completed a basic wilderness medicine course and wants to stay current on their skills. Whether you took a WFA, WFR, or another wilderness medicine course, you'll be able to participate.
Where do the sessions take place? All skills refreshers are held at our Custer, SD property.
What is included in the social hour? A meal is provided for everyone, and we'll have a campfire. Please remember to bring your own camp chair.
Do these sessions count as recertification? No, these courses are for skills practice and are not a substitute for a full recertification course.
